CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS

As a homeschooling mom, it can be a little tough at times to find educational things to do outside of the home. Especially if you've been homeschooling for as long as I have.  I've been homeschooling my ten year old son for all of his life-- he has never attended "traditional" school.

As a result, I had all but exhausted the list of things to do here in Atlanta, GA, that could qualify as an educational, homeschool field trip. We've been to every museum, park, play, mountain--- if it's in Atlanta, you name it- we've done it!

That is of course, until we became members of the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Like most city botanical gardens, the Atlanta Botanical Garden is a non-profit, developed to maintain plant collections for display, education, research, conservation and enjoyment. We've been members for several years, now.

In the last couple of years, the Garden has added what has become a holiday favorite and a Christmas Tradition for my family. Garden Lights- Holiday Nights, is Atlanta's "brightest" holiday tradition! The garden comes alive with thousands of beautiful lights and displays.

We love winding through the well lit paths, sipping hot chocolate- all while being embraced by just the right amount of chill in the air.

We bundle up each year and look forward to heading out and experiencing all that shimmers at the garden. This is truly the start of the Holiday Season for my family. If you're in the Atlanta area and would like to visit the garden, just click on the link for more information.

Well, that's it! I hope that everyone is preparing for the Holiday Season and looking forward to having a wonderful time with family and friends. And so-- until next time ladies, don't be a Frumpy Mommy!
Bye Ladies :)
